My major project has the provisional title “William Butler Yeats and Seamus Heaney – contrasting Irish landscapes”. I will be visiting Northern Ireland in early November to explore the places associated with Seamus Heaney and his poetry around Magherafelt in County Londonderry.
Meanwhile, I have taken the opportunity to take some images of landscapes and places closer to home associated with writers or artists – William Blake’s cottage in Felpham and Petworth with its links to Capability Brown and William Turner.

I have posted a random list of places associated with Yeats and Heaney and will add to that list from time to time. I hope to visit them all.
